QUALITY OF THE YEAR for the best!

Under this title the editors of "Biznes Report" ("Gazeta Prawna" appendix) together with the Polish Center for Research and Certification SA organizes National Programme for the Promotion of Quality in the Polish Companies JAKOŚĆ ROKU 2007. The competition is open to entrepreneurs and companies that pay special attention on the issue of quality and high labour standards. In the previous edition of the competition was attended by sixty companies from all over Poland.

Our company has been invited to participate in this year's program and strive for JAKOŚĆ ROKU 2007 title.

Here are the interview by Dominik Wrona, that was published in "Biznes Raport" on August 30, 2007

Interview with Michael Kłeczek, president of the board at XPro Sp. z.o.o

- IT market is developing very dynamically recently. There is a growing demand especially to the dedicated solutions?

- Yes, that's why we develop software for publishers of content on the Internet from the very beginning. Currently, we maintain two such projects. One for our client from the United States, the second for the Turkish company. In the first of them our task, in short, is to create an application to search for information on tax and legal statements in the United States. It is a very interactive application based on the AJAX technologies. To access it, you have to log in to the publisher's website and finding the data from acts or judgments shall be as simple as possible.

In the case of our Turkish customer, the SteelOrbis consortium, we mainly create interactive websites. Our contractor organizes, among other things, numerous conferences and meetings and therefore needs the tools to communicate with their customers via the Internet more easily. The application streamlines the process of registration of participants and the publication of photos, presentations and materials from meetings for authorised members. The system has two language versions - English and Turkish

- Does XPro provides only Internet software solutions?

- We don't hinder ourselves in a narrow specialization. We create software in Java, which is used also in stand-alone applications for desktop computers, PDAs or mobile phones. We chose it because of the high mobility, lower cost, reliability and ease of use so we create specialized applications that match the expectations of our customers. Frankly speaking, we can build any system, provided that we receive enough data from the customer.

- The U.S., Turkey... whether in Poland there is no demand for high-end applications?

- The needs are, but this segment of the market is still developing. So far we successfully carried out several smaller projects, including one for CIGNA STU (insurance) and TheSo (consultancy). However, a fundamental barrier here is the price. Tailored systems are quite expensive to our realities. Soon, however, this situation will change.

- What are the prospects for development for the company?

- In the IT sector you can see two trends. On the one hand, consolidating around the big players. On the other, smaller companies remain independent, specializing in developing solutions dedicated to a specific recipient. We will lean toward the latter option. We want to meet the increasing demands of customers and upgrade the software we're working on.
